Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining all areas of the golf course including mowing and trimming turf, maintaining bunkers and other assigned tasks
  • Positive attitude towards your fellow turf-care team members and Club members
  • Effective communication and cooperation with supervisors daily
Wages & Hours of Work:
  • $20.00/hr starting wage + benefits
  • Employees are eligible for a $2/hr bonus at the end of the season if they complete their work term in good standing
  • 25 to 30 hours per week (potentially up to 40 if needed)
  • Shifts start as early as 5:00 or 5:30 AM
  • Minimum of 1 weekend day required, which involves working a 5 to 6 hour shift
Qualifications:
  • Have a positive attitude and be a team player
  • Enjoy working early mornings and being done early
  • Sustain prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling
  • Physically able to operate power equipment
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs is desirable, but not essential
  • Possessing a drivers’ license is preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of the game of golf is an asset but not required – we love teaching others the intricacies of the game
Additional Information:
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Seasonal positions April through September
  • All on-site training provided
  • Golf shirts, pant allowance, work gloves, footwear allowance provided
  • Golf can occasionally be arranged at appropriate times through a supervisor
