Who you are:
- You have a High school diploma or equivalent through a vocational school or turf program
- You have a valid driver?s license
- You work well as part of a team, are able to work independently, and possess excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- You thrive in a working environment that requires you to be outdoors for the majority of your day.

- Burning Tree Country Club is first and foremost a private golf club that places high importance on the creation of an open and family oriented environment.
- The Club was founded in 1962.
- Our amenities include an 18-hole golf course, an 8-lane, 25-meter pool with a diving well, Har-Tru tennis courts, and a platform tennis complex. We have active junior programs in golf, tennis and aquatics and offer a summer camp.
- We take pride in our daily ala carte service, as well as our first class events created by our Events and Food & Beverage Teams.
- Our Food & Beverage department incudes various a la carte outlets (indoors and outdoors: i.e. The Grille Room, Founders Bar, Patio and Salons), catering to all members and guests needs according to established rules and etiquette.
The Essentials
- Able to assemble required tools or equipment.
- Able to participate in the preparation of equipment for the day?s tasks.
- Able to operate motorized equipment.
- Participate in the general maintenance of the course and grounds, including tennis and aquatics areas, to ensure they are impeccably kept.
The Expectations
- Efficient and accurate preparation for assigned jobs.
- Develop a basic knowledge of the various aspects of greens and grounds maintenance, including a good working knowledge of various pieces of equipment.
- Be attentive to details.
- Be willing to work flexible shifts, under various outdoors conditions.
- Avoid unnecessary equipment breakdown and inform the mechanic of any suspected problems.
The Standards
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience operating mechanical tools (preferred).
- Previous experience working outdoors under various weather conditions (preferred).
- A valid driver?s license (required).
- Basic mechanical understanding of grounds equipment, including knowledge of how to fuel equipment, check proper fluid levels (preferred).
- Knowledge of safe operation of equipment.
- Must be able to communicate and interact professionally with staff, members, and their guests.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Physical strength and endurance to work varied hours, both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
