Full job description
Stillwater Valley Golf Club is looking for a seasonal kitchen staff member to join our team!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Preps and cooks’ food products for guests and staff.

2. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, and production, storeroom, service, and other areas.

3. Leads and follows all food service standards that meet the requirements of our establishment and the Ohio Department of Health.

4. Gathers supplies from club’s kitchen and storeroom; ensures proper transfer and storage.

5. Provides adequate level of prepared stock of all products, garnishes, and condiments. Ensures that all products are labeled, rotated (FIFO) and dated.

6. Keeps kitchen, coolers, and other work areas tidy, organized and always cleaned.

7. Open to completing advanced food service training offered by the Ohio Department of Health

8. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club by being solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all team members and meeting customer service standards set by management.

9. Completes opening, shift end and closing procedures as required. Includes sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes.

10. Cleans restrooms and restocks as needed.

11. Empty trash as needed throughout the day.

12. Ensures proper food service standards are followed along with proper etiquette.

13. Is a team player and assists in training of newer staff members to ensure proper standards are being met.
  • Performs additional assignments per the direction of club managers.
  • Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

1. Can compute simple math and count change accurately

2. Good oral communication skills

3. Able to provide a high level of customer service with attention to detail.

4. Able to obtain a food handler’s permit or certification.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Be available to work evenings and weekends.
  • Cook menu items to order
  • Be able to work well with others.
  • Assist with bartending services as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness
  • Assist management in day to day operations.
  • Work Banquet facility events.
  • Training staff as need
