Blue Rock Golf Course in South Yarmouth has a rare opportunity to join our award-winning golf course as a Full-Time PGA Teaching Professional / Golf Professional. Established in 1962, Blue Rock Golf Course, designed by the legendary Geoffrey Cornish, has been voted the Best Golf Course on Cape Cod by the readers of the Cape Cod Times six years in a row, the Best Mid-Cape Golf Course by the readers of Cape Cod Life and ranked one of the top Par 3 courses in the country by Sports Illustrated.
Owned by the same family that built the course 62 years ago, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Full-Time PGA Teaching Professional / Golf Professional to join one of the most beloved courses on Cape Cod and advance their career to the next level.
At the heart of the course is the newly rebuilt Blue Rock Golf Academy. We are looking for a qualified teaching professional to grow the membership and daily play through quality golf instruction and an innate sense of community.
The Full Time PGA Teaching Professional / Golf Professional position at Blue Rock Golf Course will have the opportunity to be a year-round position. We have a fully operational indoor teaching facility for the winter months as well as a grass driving range and short game facilities dedicated solely for lessons.
Required Experience:
-A PGA affiliation with at least 1 year of teaching experience. The professional must have a thirst for improving their knowledge in instruction. Certifications with Trackman, Sportsbox AI 3D, TPI, and Smart2Move are not required but will be a part of our training program.
Essential Responsibilities:
-Teaching private lessons, junior and ladies group clinics, and on course instruction.
-Self motivated as well as have the ability to be a team player.
-Willing and able to help around the golf shop, club house, and golf course.
-Assist in tournament operations and membership services.
-Experience with juniors and PGA Junior League is preferred.
