JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Brandywine, located just outside of Philadelphia in Media, PA, is seeking a part-time Head Golf Coach. Penn State Brandywine will begin the exploratory year of the NCAA DIII transition process on September 1, 2023. Penn State Brandywine Athletics will compete in the PSUAC this upcoming year, and upon successful completion of the exploratory year, will compete in an NCAA conference during the 3-year provisional phase.
Job Duties
The Head Golf Coach will manage all operations for the program, including, but not limited to:
Electronically submit a cover letter, coaching and recruiting philosophy, and resume. Application review will begin immediately and are accepted until the vacancy is filled.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here.

Job Duties
The Head Golf Coach will manage all operations for the program, including, but not limited to:
- Scheduling and coaching practices Scheduling home and away competitions.
- Monitoring annual operational and recruiting budgets.
- Ensuring institutional, PSUAC, USCAA, and NCAA obligations are met as head coach.
- Selecting, training, recruiting, and retaining quality student-athletes.
- Employment with the University for this job will require successful completion of the Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal History Background Check.
- Employment with the University for this opening will require the operation of a motor vehicle as a part of the job duties. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
- Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years coaching experience at the collegiate or high school level and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Experience coaching at an NCAA DIII institution is preferred.
- May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
