*Job Overview* Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Grounds Maintenance Laborer and play a vital role in maintaining the pristine beauty and functionality of our golf course. This energetic position involves performing a variety of groundskeeping tasks to ensure the course remains safe, attractive, and enjoyable for players and visitors alike. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, utilizing your skills in landscape maintenance, irrigation, and equipment operation to support the overall health of the course’s turf and landscaping features. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your horticulture and groundskeeping expertise while contributing to a premier golfing environment. *Responsibilities* * Maintain golf course turf, fairways, greens, and roughs through mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to promote healthy growth. * Operate groundskeeping equipment including mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. * Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, watering, and mulching to enhance course aesthetics. * Perform manual handling duties including heavy lifting of materials like soil, sod, or landscaping supplies. * Manage irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and adjusting controllers to ensure proper watering schedules. * Apply pesticides or herbicides following safety protocols to control pests and weeds that threaten turf health. * Conduct routine inspections of grounds and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards, performing basic repairs as needed. *Qualifications* * Prior experience with golf course groundskeeping or athletic field maintenance is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. * Knowledge of irrigation systems, power tool safety, and landscape maintenance techniques is highly desirable. * Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and company vehicles responsibly. * Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor activity in various weather conditions. * Familiarity with horticulture practices including lawn care, gardening, landscaping, and general land management. * Basic understanding of pesticide management and safety procedures related to chemical application. * Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of course quality and safety.
