Performs maintenance work under supervision of the assistant superintendent. This work involves the use of large equipment, including tractors, loaders, trenchers, backhoes, trucks and other maintenance equipment. This is part time or seasonal position, schedule and hours may vary. Please note: This is a continuous posting, applications will close when all seasonal positions have been filled.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Operates various types of equipment, including but not limited to walk behind mowers, triplex mowers, large area reel and rotary style mowers, blowers, sprayers, various heavy equipment and hand-held tools and equipment. Ensures that the equipment cooling system is working at all times; refills fuel and oil daily; cleans equipment daily; and reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager immediately.Provides basic preventative maintenance on equipment as directed by the equipment manager or assistant superintendent. Returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Possession of a valid driver's license.Must be at least 17 years of age.
