Position Overview
Pinelands Golf Club is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of operations across our golf course, restaurant (Twisted Tavern), and event venue (The Cart Barn). This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-revenue environment.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in hospitality or golf operations, with exceptional leadership, customer service, and operational management skills. As General Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and elevating the standards of our golf, dining, and event experiences—while driving growth, revenue, and team excellence.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and elevating the standards of our golf, dining, and event experiences—while driving growth, revenue, and team excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Golf Club Operations
- Oversee daily golf operations, including tee time flow, turf maintenance coordination, player experience, and pro shop performance.
- Partner with the superintendent and golf professional to ensure outstanding course conditions and coordinate tournaments and special events.
- Uphold facility presentation and service standards across all golf touchpoints.
- Manage and support restaurant leadership in staffing, scheduling, and guest service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor laws and regulations.
- Manage food and beverage inventory, cost controls, and menu planning in collaboration with kitchen staff.
- Supervise event sales, planning, and execution, working closely with event coordinators and clients.
- Maintain high standards in event setup, client communications, and event satisfaction.
- Oversee event calendar management, pricing and promotional efforts to maximize bookings and revenue.
- Hire, train, and mentor department managers and cross-functional staff.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting and strategic planning.
- Lead strategic planning and help implement marketing initiatives with internal and external partners.
- Foster a team culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
- 5+ years of experience as a General Manager, Director of Operations, or similar leadership role in golf, hospitality, or club management preferred.
- Proven success in managing diverse teams and multi-department operations.
- Strong financial and operational acumen, including budgeting, reporting, and P&L responsibility.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and work flexible hours (nights, weekends, holidays).
- Knowledge of golf operations, restaurant management, and event planning strongly preferred.
