Walla Walla Country Club is a prestigious golf facility committed to providing an exceptional golfing experience. We take pride in our meticulously maintained course, state-of-the-art facilities, and dedication to creating an environment that golf enthusiasts love. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individuals to join or Agronomy team.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop and implement effective maintenance programs.
Work with a team of groundskeepers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Oversee irrigation systems, ensuring proper functionality and make necessary repairs.
Implement the planned pest and disease control measures, and manage turf health.
Contribute to the development and execution of long-term maintenance plans.
Daily tasks to include: Mowing, changing cups, raking bunkers, application of fertilizers and herbicides, small and large tool operation and additional tasks as assigned by Golf Course Superintendent.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 years of experience in golf course maintenance or related agriculture work.
Strong knowledge of plant health, irrigation systems, and golf course maintenance encouraged but not required.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Familiarity with mowing and lawn maintenance equipment operation.
Punctual and reliable attendance.
Education in Turfgrass or Agronomy is excellent but not required.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Physical ability to perform manual labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Pesticide applicator's license (or ability to obtain one).
