Canterbury Public Golf Course is seeking an enthusiastic Grounds Person to work full time at the 9 hole golf course. The position is full time working a 36 hour week, days of are Friday & Saturday, Monday to Thursday is a 6am start with 8 hour shifts and Sunday is also a 6am start working 2 to 4 hours. One would be working in a small team and so be comfortable to work alone. Experience in operating machinery is best but not essential, as training is avaiable, having a Certificate in Sports turf Management or a similar certificate is preferred and experience having worked on a golf course and understanding the game of golf, is preferred. It is essential that you have a drivers license, you are a punctual person and have attention to detail, good communication skills and that you are comfortable taking directions from the golf course superintendent.
