About the role
Nedlands Golf Club is seeking a full-time qualified Greenkeeper to join our dedicated grounds team. This is a crucial role in maintaining the exceptional playing conditions and overall presentation of our renowned 9-hole golf course located in Nedlands, Western Australia.
What you'll be doing
- Performing regular mowing, edging, and grooming of fairways, greens, tees, and other turf areas to ensure optimal playing surfaces
- Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of the irrigation system
- Applying fertilisers, pesticides, and other treatments to maintain the health and quality of the turf
- Carrying out tasks related to bunker maintenance, such as raking and replenishing sand
- Maintaining, cleaning, and storing all tools and equipment used for golf course maintenance
- Participating in the planning and execution of golf course improvement projects
- Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Previous experience as a greenkeeper or in a similar role within the golf or turf management industry
- Knowledge of golf course maintenance practices and the ability to operate specialised equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Excellent physical fitness and the ability to perform physical labour in varying weather conditions
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficient in the use of irrigation systems, fertilisers, and other turf management products
- Relevant qualifications in turf management, horticulture, or a related field would be highly regarded
