Our latest project in Sydney is the newly redeveloped Chatswood Golf Club. Following its opening, McMahons has secured a long-term maintenance contract for the facility and is expanding the team to ensure the course is presented to the highest standards and meets growing demand.
As a Groundsman, you will either bring, or be trained to develop, the agronomy and turf maintenance skills required to complement our experienced team.
Located just five minutes from the Pacific Highway in Chatswood suburbia, our newly purpose-built 12-hole golf course provides an enjoyable yet challenging experience for golfers of all abilities.

About the Role
As a Golf Course Groundsman, you will play a key role in the presentation, construction, and ongoing improvement of the golf course.
Working within an experienced and supportive team, your responsibilities will include:
- Mowing and maintaining greens, tees, fairways, and roughs
- Turf renovations, including scarifying, aerating, and topdressing
- Irrigation maintenance and water management
- Chemical and fertiliser applications (ChemCert qualifications are an advantage)
- General course maintenance, including bunker preparation, landscaping, and tree care
- Operation and maintenance of turf maintenance machinery
- No previous experience in golf course or sports turf maintenance is required, although a willingness to learn and take on golf course maintenance responsibilities is essential.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and machinery operation is desirable
- Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends as required
- A genuine passion for turf management and golf
