Job description:

Reports to: Pro Shop Manager

Job Summary: Promote all areas of golf at Pike Lake, by making every effort to ensure that all individuals enjoy their golfing experience. Customer service is our #1 responsibility.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Insure tee times are run to scheduled time

· Maintain movement and pace of play in established timeline

· Assist players when needed to assure an enjoyable golf outing

· Enforce company policy, golf course policy and rules & regulations

· Ensure all Health and Safety Protocols are being met

· Monitor play by riding the golf course in the opposite direction of play, while being mindful not to interfere or disrupt players when they are about to play a shot

· Help keep the golf course attractive, neat and clean by monitoring garbage & recycling.

· Record all golf cart assignments and assist the outside service staff in the assignment and control of golf carts

· Assist with package groups bags

· Greet and welcome all golfers. Provide information regarding golf course conditions, cart rules, local rules, expected playing time, golf course safety and emergency procedures, golf course etiquette, and other golf-related issues

· Inspect receipts for all players before they depart to verify correct payment of green fees and carts

· Communicate immediately to manager (or if manager is unavailable, to Pike Lake owner) if an incident occurs where unacceptable behaviour or threat is made by a customer

Skills Required:

· Exceptional customer service skills

· Able to work well under pressure

· Completed WHIMS training at Pike Lake

· Smart Serve certificate required

· Valid Ontario Driver’s License

· Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

· Professional appearance and manners

· Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Working Conditions:

· Standing for long periods of time

· Flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends depending on tournaments, golf packages and group bookings

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
