This is a part time to full time position. Preference given to applicants that are available for the required shifts: Weekdays/Weekends: sunrise to 2 pm and 2 pm to sunset All employees of Bridge Valley Golf are expected to prioritize safety in our work place, and be respectful to their fellow staff and our patrons. Familiarity with golf and golf etiquette desirable. Applicants must be able to deal with public and work without close supervision. Applicants need to be able to drive golf course equipment including manual transmissions; and have some mechanical experience. Familiarity with mowers, trimmers, electric and small engines, robotic equipment, irrigation pumps, sprinklers and fertilizer / pesticide application is an asset. Duties include: as directed by supervisor. - mowing and trimming of golf course greens, fairways, and tees using various ride-on mowers, power mowers, leaf blowers & power trimmers (training provided). -managing driving range ball picking equipment - both robotic and manual drive, and this includes manually lifting crates of range balls weighting up to 50 lbs - irrigation of the course - identifying dry areas and moving of plug-in sprinklers, as well as operating irrigation zones with Hunter controllers - monitoring players on golf course for acceptable conduct and pace of play - washing of balls from driving range. - assistance with maintenance and repairs of irrigation system. - fertilize greens, top dress greens and tees and repair divots and bare spots - assist with basic servicing and adjustments of machinery. No or limited experience? This is not necessarily a problem, as we happily provide manuals and training for all assigned tasks.
