Gailes Golf Club, located at Wacol, has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Grounds Person positions to join our on-course team. For the most part, the full time role of 38 hours will span from Monday through Saturday, commencing work at 5am through 1:30pm (Saturday shifts are shorter and finish at 8:30am). This position will suit someone who is active, has a reasonable level of fitness and enjoys the early starts and finishes. Please note, you must be available for some Saturday shifts, as well as some Sundays.

Established in 1924, Gailes Golf Club is a 6254m, par 73 course with a historic clubhouse, two spare holes and a small driving range. The Club has recently celebrated its centenary of existence and is located in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. The golf course is picturesque with an abundance of wildlife and is an enjoyable place to work. The Club is conveniently located on the Ipswich train line with the Gailes Station directly opposite the Clubhouse.

· You must have reliable transport to and from work due to the early starts.

No previous work experience is required for this role, but is preferred. The right attitude is far more important than what you know and we are happy to teach you everything you need to be successful in the position. Working holiday visas are OK to apply.

What will I be doing?

· General course maintenance, including weeding, whipper snipping, pruning, mulching etc.

· Mowing of turf surfaces (once sufficiently trained).

· Bunker raking and maintenance.

· Other miscellaneous tasks around the course.
