Golf Services Management (GSM) are a leading golf course operator within the industry, committed to providing a high level of service and quality presentation of our courses.
We are seeking to appoint a new team member at Bay Views Golf Course, a course with a reputation of being exceptionally maintained. The position offers ongoing job security with the venue under a long term lease arrangement with the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA).
This role will provide a full exposure and involvement in all aspects of course maintenance and turf management. A high level of performance will result in the successful applicant transitioning to the position of 2IC to the Course Superintendent.
The ideal applicant will possess an excellent understanding of turf agronomy principles, chemical programs, irrigation management and general course presentation and upkeep. In addition to technical knowledge the ideal applicant will be prepared to work diligently and display a high care factor to consistently complete work programs that deliver a high standard of golf course presentation.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Working cohesively within the team to achieve our standards for the course presentation.
- Participating in:
- all tasks related to presenting the golf course and surrounding parkland
- chemical spraying
- the maintenance and management of the irrigation system
- turf renovation and improvement programs
- Adherence to WH&S policy and procedures.
- Matching the high work ethic of our team.
- Assisting with apprentice training and development.
- Providing input and ideas.
- A strong commitment to succeed to the next level of your career and a willingness to work with the Course Superintendent to achieve improvements to the course presentation.
- A sound knowledge of Golf Course preparation.
- High attention to detail, a sound work ethic, reliable and consistent attendance.
- Drivers licence.
- Ability to work weekends.
