The Kew Golf Club was founded in 1894 and has a rich and proud history. We are one of Melbourne’s leading private golf clubs, including a meticulously maintained 18-hole championship golf course, which is located only 15 minutes from the Melbourne CBD.

Reporting to our Golf Course Superintendent and supporting our Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to ensure the effective maintenance and advancement of our Club's most important asset - our golf course.

This role requires hands-on work and an eye for detail.

Personal Attributes

• Experience in golf course, sports turf, or landscape maintenance (Turf qualifications preferred).
• Physically fit, with a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of turfgrass management, irrigation systems, and pest control.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment.
• Excellent communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging of greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.
• Carry out tasks such as seeding, aeration, fertilization, and weed/pest control.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensuring that all golf course maintenance tasks align with agreed internal procedures and legislated OH&S requirements.
