Rated within the top 35 Courses nationally, we are currently seeking to employ two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our course maintenance team in the role of Qualified Greenkeeper or Related Tradesperson.
It's an exciting time for the Glenelg Golf Club, with its centenary in 2027, the club over the last 2 years has invested in implementing a full Course Enhancement Project.
With seven holes completed thus far, work encompasses full Irrigation system replacement, reconstruction of bunkers, full Greens resurfacing - with the majority of the strategic design improvements carried out by Course Staff.
The Course Maintenance Team's work in the field of Environmental Initiatives and Sustainability over the last twelve months was acknowledged in 2022 with the awarding of the ASTMA Claude Crockford Environmental and Sustainability Award.
What you will do for usThe role involves : assisting with set up of golf course for completion of competition rounds and general play pest and disease identification and control course construction bunker, rough, fairway and general golf course maintenance ensuring a developing understanding of golf course irrigation systems performing tasks that are necessary to keep maintenance facility and equipment clean, organised, and safe daily applying, storing, and handling of chemicals as required and directed performing all functions and golf course maintenance activities as directed.
What we are looking for have minimum of Certificate 3 in Turf Management or a related Trade or a minimum of 5 years' experience be willing to start early in the morning and work flexible hours, including some rostered weekend work possess a keen eye for detail have demonstrated ability to be courteous towards members and present a positive image of our team.
What we offer full-time position competitive salary and superannuation reviewed annually above award wage : $35 per hour plus overtime at double the rate rostered overtime training and professional development opportunities supplied uniform discounted clubhouse meals discounted and free tickets to Adelaide Oval events.
