We are seeking a skilled Supervisor to consistently deliver the highest standard and quality of customer service, thereby ensuring that our members and guests have a memorable experience when visiting S&A Golf Club and that service expectations are exceeded.

To ensure bar and all staff on duty are fully briefed and allocated duties for their shift, and that everyone is aware of the level of service standards expected.

To monitor and lead service standards throughout the Clubhouse.

To be responsible for the atmosphere and presentation of the Clubhouse which will include ensuring all aspects of the area are spotlessly clean, lighting is set at the correct levels and the temperature is comfortable.

To contribute to increased F&B revenues by upselling from the food and beverage menus (and to train all staff to be able to do the same).

Key Responsibilities to include :
  • To supervise all bar assistants, ensuring that standards of service are being followed (correct glasses for drinks, measures, use of the till system).
  • To warmly welcome guests to the Clubhouse, to effectively take their orders and answer any questions they may have.
  • To make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to the customer’s requirements.
  • To have a knowledge and understanding of drinks that may be requested and to ensure that they are made in a timely and correct manner (and impact the same knowledge to bar staff).
  • To ask for identification to verify age where appropriate.
  • To ensure service delivery is at the highest standard daily (use of trays, napkins, cleanliness and offering floor customer service).
  • To ensure all cutlery, linen and plates are clean and polished and presentable in line with the club standards.
  • To ensure the prompt clearing and cleaning of tables at all times, including resetting of tables and chairs to their default position, clearing any mess off the floor.
  • To ensure that all bar glasses and cups are cleaned in a timely manner.
  • To proactively and collaboratively work with all team members in the Clubhouse to ensure a consistent service is given to all guests.
  • To take bar orders and log all items into the till system and accept payment either through cash, card or membership card.
  • To proactively walk the floor, ensuring guests have drinks / food and taking further orders.
  • To ensure that all stocks for the food service are kept replenished and are placed on all tables before food service.
  • To conduct open and close procedures including turning off all equipment and lights, locking away all stock, removing all waste and securing the area.
  • To ensure that cashing up procedures are followed and that all bar takings are receipted and that floats are secured away in the safe.
  • To ensure the security of all bar and liquor stock.
  • To undertake stock control and ordering, and recording transfers and wastage.
  • To supervise the bar team, including target and objective setting, performance reviews.
Salary dependant on experience and knowledge. Weekend work will be a requirement of this position, as will some late shifts and close duties.
