Dos Rios Golf Club is an 18 hole semi-private club. We are located in Gunnison Colorado in the middle of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Gunnison county is an outdoorsmen's paradise with gold medal fishing, hunting, mountain biking and hiking within minutes of town, and the Crested Butte Ski Resort is just 30 miles away. Gunnison is also home to Western Colorado University.
Under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent, the Turf Equipment Technician oversees a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. The program includes repairing of failing equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment, and placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment or service. The Turf Equipment Technician properly communicates any needs of problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the Golf Course Superintendent and/or the Assistant Superintendent. The Turf Equipment Technician places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and turf care center
Experience Requirements
Knowledge and ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and equipment properly and efficiently.
Skill in the use of a variety of equipment repair tools, and the making of various types of mechanical repair.
Working knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment.
Working knowledge of reel, bedknife and other grinding equipment, including reel to bedknife relationships and setting height of cut.
Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession.
Ability to perform heavy physical work; ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment.
Ability to stand, walk, twist, reach, grasp, pull, pinch, ride, climb, and perform a variety of similar body movements safely.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone and two-way radio; ability to see to make repairs and operate equipment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public.
Knowledge of and/or ability to play the game of golf and understand how job performance affects the playing conditions of the golf course.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
