*Job Summary* We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Golf Course Equipment Manager to lead the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of all golf course equipment. This vital role ensures that all machinery, from mowers to utility vehicles, is in optimal condition to support a premier golfing experience. The Equipment Manager will coordinate equipment scheduling, and implement preventative maintenance programs to keep the course running smoothly and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about machinery, golf course operations, and delivering exceptional service. *Responsibilities* * Manage the daily operation and maintenance of all golf course equipment, including mowers, carts, utility vehicles, and power tools. * Perform complex repairs on engines, electrical systems, hydraulic components, and mechanical parts using schematics and diagnostic tools. * Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maximize equipment lifespan and performance. * Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using electrical diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and troubleshooting techniques. * Oversee inventory management of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for equipment repair and maintenance. * Ensure compliance with safety standards during manual handling, heavy lifting, welding, soldering, and other repair activities. * Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment performance logs. * Collaborate with course management to schedule equipment use during tournaments or special events to minimize downtime. * Stay current with industry advancements in diesel engine repair, small engine maintenance, power generation systems, and automotive repair relevant to golf course machinery. *Experience* * Proven experience in golf course equipment or automotive repair environments with a focus on heavy machinery or small engines. * Strong background in service technician roles involving electrical work, diagnostics, welding, soldering, and mechanical systems repair. * Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical system layouts. * Knowledge of Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery brands is a plus. * Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using diagnostic tools and technical manuals. * Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling required for maintenance tasks involving hand tools and power tools. Holly Tree Country Club is a private club located in Simpsonville, South Carolina, just outside of Greenville. Designed by George Cobb and opened in 1973, the facility includes an 18-hole golf course, driving range, putting green, chipping green, private skills area, and short course. The club is currently completing a major golf course renovation designed by Jeff Lawrence, ASGCA, with reopening scheduled for September 2026. A new equipment fleet will arrive in August 2026.
