Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and oversee the golf course equipment maintenance program
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, routine service, and preventative maintenance on mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, small engines, and other turf equipment
- Develop and maintain organized preventative maintenance schedules
- Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and parts inventory
- Monitor equipment performance and proactively identify maintenance needs before failures occur
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
- Coordinate daily with the Golf Course Superintendent regarding equipment priorities and operational needs
- Assist in equipment setup, adjustments, and seasonal preparation
- Ensure all equipment is maintained according to safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Help train staff on proper equipment operation and daily care procedures
- Assist with procurement and organization of parts, supplies, and tools
- Stay current with industry trends, equipment technology, and best practices in turf equipment management
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, mechanically skilled, and takes pride in their work.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working with golf course, landscape, agricultural, or small engine equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the maintenance team
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
- Welding, hydraulic, electrical, and reel grinding experience are a plus
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and accountable
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and seasonal demands
