Description
Summary: The Desk Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to all customers, members, guests and staff, whether by phone or in person, and upholding the club's operating standards in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers, members, guests and staff.
- Be familiar with standard scripts (greetings, procedures/protocols, responses, etc.)
- Understand Sunset Valley Golf Clubs programs, services, fees, outings and other events.
- Understand Sunset Valley Golf Clubs "Rules and Regulations" and be able to enforce and answer questions regarding them.
- Be knowledgeable to answer questions regarding course details (i.e. Length, Slope/Rating, etc.).
- Tend to any questions, needs or concerns of patrons.
- Perform cash handling and maintain accurate financial records, complete daily sales reports and bank deposits.
- Be familiar with the POS software. Maintain accurate and up to date information.
- Assist in Golf Shop inventory maintenance and restocking.
- Receive and route incoming calls.
- Perform routine office support functions and maintain appearance and cleanliness of facility.
- Ensure patrons begin at their designated tee time by working with the Starter and Outside Services.
- Assist with security of building.
- Assist in League preparation and special events.
- Be familiar with other PDHPs programs and services. Ability to accept registration in PDHP software.
- Perform other PDHP related duties as assigned, including special projects.
- Be familiar with services provided by Food and Beverages.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and appearance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Minimum high school graduate or having worked around a golf course.
Additional Qualifications:
- 3-6 months experience in a golf club, health club or other customer service setting
- Knowledge and understanding of the game of golf
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to exhibit a professional and polite appearance at all times
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks
