Duties
- Safely operate golf carts, box trucks, or personal vehicles to deliver golf carts and accessories to various locations.
- Load and unload golf carts using manual handling techniques or material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts.
- Follow planned delivery routes accurately while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers via mobile devices to confirm delivery details and updates.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time, maintaining high standards of customer service throughout each interaction.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including checking for safe operation, proper functioning of manual transmissions, and compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for load & unload activities, route driving, and any incidents or delays.
- Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or courier services with a focus on safe manual handling practices.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or vans preferred.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual tasks such as moving golf carts or equipment using manual transmission vehicles or material handling tools like pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and weight handling in the workplace.
- Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and documentation purposes.
- Prior experience with warehouse experience or commercial truck driving is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor during interactions with clients.
- Ability to adhere strictly to safety standards during load & unload procedures and while driving routes.
