SummaryThe seasonal Golf Course Turf and Grounds Maintenance position is responsible for helping to ensure cleanliness, playability and general appearance of the Cedarholm Golf Course and assist in turf maintenance to enhance the golfer's experience. This position may also assist in some turf equipment maintenance and indoor club house operations as determined by the Recreation Program Supervisor and/or Superintendent.Essential Duties ResponsibilitiesThe duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.   • Assist in all aspects of turf maintenance operations; Mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, and other turf duties as assigned.
  • Assist on special projects and turf cultural practices: aeration, seeding, and tree removal/ pruning.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the maintenance shop and community building.
  • Ensure the safety of patrons and fellow staff members by maintaining the grounds and enforcement of course and facility rules
  • Provide customer service to golfers/public as needed or as requested.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, and the general public.
  • Other duties as assigned or apparent.
  • Continually shows respect for diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and interests. Exhibits sensitivity to the needs of diverse audiences in all duties performed on behalf of the City to support Roseville in building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable working environment and community.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience/Education
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess valid driver's license
  • Work independently to complete daily activities according to work/facility schedule
  • Is able to communicate orally and in writing and understands, follows, and transmits written and oral in instructions.
  • Knowledge of applicable work hazards and safety precautions
  • Ability to work early morning hours, weekends, weekdays and holidays, as needed.
