Duties
- Install new sprinkler heads, controllers, and automated control systems, ensuring optimal coverage and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing irrigation equipment to prevent issues and maximize system performance
- Conduct system diagnostics using electrical testing tools and mechanical knowledge to identify faults or inefficiencies
- Repair irrigation system components such as valves,, controllers, and wiring with precision and attention to detail
- Perform irrigation system repair projects, including excavation when necessary for pipe replacement or upgrade
- Operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other machinery safely during installation or repair projects
- Monitor soil moisture levels daily and adjust irrigation schedules accordingly to promote healthy turf growth while conserving water, hand watering to top up dry areas
- Assist with new irrigation system installation projects by planning layouts, coordinating with vendors, and executing installation steps efficiently
- Excel by communicating effectively with management‘and addressing irrigation concerns promptly
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical diagnostics skills for troubleshooting complex irrigation systems
- Experience with automated irrigation control systems and system troubleshooting techniques
- Knowledge of irrigation management practices aligned with turf health, soil science, and landscaping principles
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized horticultural equipment safely and effectively
- Familiarity with irrigation equipment components including valves, sprinkler heads, pumps, controllers, and wiring systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in system repairs or installations
- Excellent customer service skills paired with clear communication abilities for collaborating with team members and vendors
- Understanding of lawn care practices essential for supporting healthy turf through proper irrigation management
