Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance and overall health of our premier golf course at Shadow Glen Golf Club. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of course management, including turf care, landscaping, irrigation, tree care, and construction projects. Your leadership will ensure the course remains in pristine condition, providing an exceptional experience for players and maintaining the course’s aesthetic appeal.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the golf course maintenance team, including crew management and scheduling to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Oversee landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, fertilization, aeration, and pest control to promote healthy turf and plant growth.
  • Manage irrigation systems, including installation, repairs, and scheduling to optimize water use and turf health.
  • Coordinate construction projects related to course improvements or infrastructure upgrades with contractors and internal teams.
  • Identify plants accurately to ensure proper care and maintenance; implement landscaping plans that enhance course aesthetics.
  • Conduct regular inspections of trees, lawns, gardens, and other landscape features for health and safety; perform or oversee necessary tree care and gardening tasks.
  • Maintain high standards of turf quality through diligent lawn care practices while adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or golf course management with a focus on turfgrass science.
  • Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or horticultural settings; strong crew management skills.
  • Knowledge of irrigation management systems, lawn care techniques, plant identification, and horticulture principles.
  • Construction experience related to golf course projects or outdoor infrastructure improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills; capable of motivating a team toward shared goals.
  • Familiarity with construction regulations and safety standards is preferred.
