Job Description Summary Working under close supervision, this position performs necessary activities to serve customers, maintain the sales area and manage the pro shop in a positive and professional manner. This position handles all financial transactions, maintains inventory and supervision of pro shop staff to attain a positive sales growth while maintaining excellent customer relations with golf course patrons.



Qualifications
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has supervisory responsibility.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing including use of good grammar

and conveying information in a tactful, concise, and professional manner.

• Must have polished and proven people skills with a focus of being able to interact well with a diverse population, provide excellent customer service, ability to diffuse conflict situations, and problem resolution
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, listen to their needs and provide guidance in the proper recommendations to ensure a top-level experience at the golf course.
• Basic math and cash and credit card processing skills
• Proficient listening skills
• Good time management skills
• Ability to effectively supervise personnel
• Must have the ability to maintain positive working relationships with fellow employees and customers
• Must demonstrate excellent teamwork skills
• Must be detailed oriented
• Proven ability to work with little or no supervision
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be flexible and adaptable to change

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of customer service experience, preferably in a golf/hospitality/service/leisure entertainment industry.
• Knowledge of recreational operations and golf course maintenance highly preferred
• Prefer at least one year of supervisory experience.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:

• Valid Texas Driver’s license with good driving record required.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND SAFETY HAZARDS:

• Work is performed in a climate controlled office environment.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

• Computer, cash register, golf equipment, office machines.
