Duties
- Maintain the health and appearance of the golf course by mowing lawns, trimming trees, shrubs, and hedges using hand tools and power equipment.
- Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues to prevent dry spots or overwatering.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as aerating soil, fertilizing turf, planting new greenery, and applying pesticides safely when needed.
- Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of materials like soil bags, mulch, or equipment parts to support ongoing course projects.
- Use chainsaws and other power tools safely for tree trimming, removal of fallen branches, or clearing pathways.
- Conduct routine maintenance on lawn care equipment and power tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with general gardening duties, including planting flowers or shrubs to enhance course aesthetics while adhering to horticultural best practices.
- Prior experience or familiarity with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and irrigation management techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment safely following proper safety protocols.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor activity in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining safety standards across all work areas.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately while working independently when needed.
- Valid driver’s license or certification may be advantageous for operating certain equipment or vehicles on-site.
