Job description:
A premier private golf club is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Golf Course Maintenance Technician to join our agronomy team as seasonal full-time rough mower operator. This position is essential in maintaining championship-level course conditions. The work season starts in late March and goes on to early April ending around Thanksgiving.
The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, professionalism, and teamwork, and understands the high standards required in a private club environment.
Primary Responsibilities-
Maintain the Tall Fescue Rough to Championship standards
Operate specialized turf equipment safely and efficiently.
Equipment example- Toro 5900, John Deere 9009A, Toro 3500
Ensure all work areas meet the club’s high presentation standards
Follow all safety protocols and equipment maintenance procedures
Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. independently
Qualifications
Prior golf course maintenance or landscape experience preferred
Knowledge of turfgrass management principles is a plus
Ability to operate or quickly learn specialized turf equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
