Job Title: Golf Course Maintenance Worker (Groundskeeper)

Job Summary:
A Golf Course Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the appearance, playability, and overall condition of a golf course. This includes mowing, landscaping, irrigation, equipment operation, and general grounds maintenance to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for golfers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mow greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other turf areas.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
  • Perform course setup, including changing hole locations, tee markers, and course signage.
  • Water turf and landscaping using irrigation systems and hand watering as needed.
  • Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and ornamental landscaping.
  • Repair divots, ball marks, bunkers, and damaged turf.
  • Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides according to safety guidelines (if certified).
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Remove debris, leaves, and trash from the course.
  • Assist with seasonal projects such as aerification, overseeding, and drainage improvements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or equipment issues promptly.
  • Work effectively with the golf course superintendent and maintenance team.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or golf course maintenance experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely.
  • Knowledge of turfgrass maintenance and irrigation systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
Work Schedule:
  • Early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as required.
  • Full-time or part-time positions may be available depending on seasonal needs.
