JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for maintaining the golf course to high standards, including mowing greens, fairways, and rough areas, as well as bunker care and general upkeep. Duties involve irrigation checks, turf maintenance (divot repair, aeration, overseeding), and operating grounds equipment. The role also includes course presentation tasks, assisting with seasonal projects, and following WHS and safety procedures at all times.

JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for maintaining the golf course to high standards, including mowing greens, fairways, and rough areas, as well as bunker care and general upkeep. Duties involve irrigation checks, turf maintenance (divot repair, aeration, overseeding), and operating grounds equipment. The role also includes course presentation tasks, assisting with seasonal projects, and following WHS and safety procedures at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
- Mowing, rolling, and maintaining fairways, greens, tees, and rough areas to required standards
- Bunker maintenance, including raking, edging, and sand replenishment
- Irrigation checks, watering, and reporting any faults or issues to the supervisor
- Divot repair, top dressing, aeration, and overseeding as directed
- Operation of grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, and hand tools, in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and NTGK operating procedures
- General course presentation, including litter collection, hazard maintenance, and placing temporary warning signs when required
- Assisting with seasonal renovation works and special projects
- Reporting maintenance and repair issues to the area supervisor
- Following written instructions, verbal direction, and procedures to perform work effectively
- Understanding and complying with quality, safety, health, and environmental policies
- Challenging any instructions that may place people or the environment at risk
- Taking personal responsibility for the health and safety of others and the protection of the environment
SELECTION CRITERIA:
ESSENTIALS:
- Proven ability to carry out the tasks outlined in the key responsibilities
- Class C Driver’s Licence (manual)
- Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
- A current National Police Clearance
- Physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
- Availability to work Saturdays on a rostered basis
- Keen eye for detail and pride in course presentation
- Ability to safely operate ride-on mowers and other grounds maintenance equipment
- Certificate I (or equivalent) in Horticulture
- First Aid Certificate
- Chainsaw Operator Certificate
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Working with Children Check (Ochre Card)
- Tractor or HR Licence
- Previous golf course experience
- A supportive and friendly team environment
