Location: Glenwood City, Wisconsin

Full-Time, 9-Month Seasonal Position (Feb-Oct)

Reports To: Board of Directors

Salary: $40,000–$50,000 annually, commensurate with experience Application

Position Overview

Glen Hills Golf Course, located in the scenic community of Glenwood City, Wisconsin, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Club Manager to lead the daily operations of our golf facility. This 9-month seasonal position requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of golf operations, tournament management, food and beverage services, point-of-sale (POS) systems, accounting, and business management. The Club Manager will ensure an exceptional experience for members, guests, and tournament participants while driving the success of the club.

Key Responsibilities

- **Golf Operations Management**:

- Oversee all aspects of daily golf course operations, ensuring a welcoming and high-quality experience for players.

- Plan, promote, and execute golf tournaments, handling scheduling, registration, and coordination with players and sponsors.

- Collaborate with the grounds crew to maintain course quality and player satisfaction.

- **Food and Beverage Operations**:

- Manage food and beverage services, including menu development, inventory control, and quality assurance.

- Ensure compliance with Wisconsin health, safety, and alcohol regulations.

- Train and supervise F&B staff to deliver outstanding customer service.

- **Financial and Administrative Duties**:

- Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and basic accounting tasks to ensure fiscal responsibility.

- Oversee POS systems for accurate transaction processing and financial reporting.

- Monitor and grow revenue streams, including memberships, green fees, and F&B sales, to meet financial objectives.

- **Staff Leadership**:

- Supervise a team of 10–15 seasonal staff members, fostering a positive and professional work environment.

- Recruit, train, and schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak periods.

- **Customer and Community Engagement**:

- Build strong relationships with members, guests, and the Glenwood City community.

- Promote the golf course through marketing initiatives, community events, and local partnerships.

- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

- **Business Development**:

- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through memberships, tournaments, and ancillary services.

- Develop strategies to enhance the club’s reputation and financial performance.

Qualifications

- **Required**:

- Proven experience in golf course or club management, with strong knowledge of golf operations and tournament coordination.

- Expertise in food and beverage management, including inventory control and staff supervision.

- Proficiency with POS systems and basic accounting practices.

- Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting and revenue management.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during the 9-month season.

- **Preferred**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field.

- PGA, CMAA, or ServSafe certification.

- Experience with marketing and community engagement in a golf or hospitality setting.

**Work Environment**

- The Club Manager will work in a dynamic environment, dividing time between the clubhouse, office, and outdoor areas of the golf course.

- The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the golf season.

- Physical requirements include standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs for event setup or inventory management.
