Wynnum Golf Club has been part of the Brisbane Bayside community since 1922 and is known for its well-maintained 18-hole parkland course and welcoming clubhouse facilities, including a bistro, bar, gaming and function spaces.
As we head into our upcoming busy season, we are expanding our team and are on the lookout for a reliable and motivated Casual Grounds Person to join our friendly course maintenance team. This role would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors, isn’t afraid of hands-on work, and takes pride in maintaining high presentation standards across outdoor spaces.

About the Role
Casual position, initially rostered for approximately 20–25 hours per week (3–4 days)
Monday to Friday roster, with weekend work available as required
Opportunities for additional hours during the peak summer period. During December 2026, January 2027 and February 2027, weekly hours may increase to approximately 38–42 hours, subject to course requirements, weather conditions, operational needs and employee availability
Immediate start available
Working alongside an experienced team maintaining the golf course, turf, irrigation systems and surrounding grounds
A mix of tasks to keep the role varied and interesting
Experience in mowing, landscaping, or general grounds maintenance
Experience working on a golf course, sportsground, parklands, or other turf-based environment
Basic knowledge of turf machinery, small plant equipment or irrigation systems is advantageous
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude, strong work ethic and good attention to detail
Physically capable of undertaking manual outdoor work
A supportive and friendly team environment
Outdoor work in a great Bayside setting
Variety in day-to-day duties
Pay and conditions in line with the Registered & Licensed Clubs Award
