Golf Shop Coordinator

Position Summary

The Golf Club at South River is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Pro Shop Manager to serve as a key member of our Golf Operations team. This position provides daily support to the Head Golf Professional, Assistant Professionals, Teaching Professional, and Golf Operations team while helping ensure the golf shop operates efficiently and delivers an exceptional experience for members and guests.

The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, professional, and enjoys building relationships with members. This individual will be a consistent and welcoming presence in the golf shop, assisting with daily operations, merchandising, administration, communication, and member service.

This position is expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week, including weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.

Compensation
  • $20.00 per hour

Essential Responsibilities

Member & Guest Service
  • Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional experience for all members and guests.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for club information, golf events, tee times, merchandise, and club activities.
  • Assist with member questions, concerns, and requests while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Build positive relationships with members through consistent engagement and personalized service.
Golf Shop Operations
  • Open and close the golf shop following established procedures.
  • Assist with daily golf shop operations and ensure a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment.
  • Support tee sheet management and daily golf operation activities.
  • Coordinate with the Golf Professional Staff and Outside Operations team to ensure smooth daily execution.
  • Assist with tournament and event preparation, registration, scoring, and administration.
Administration & Technology
  • Utilize Clubessential, Golf Genius, point-of-sale systems, and other club software to support golf operations.
  • Assist with tournament setup, event administration, scoring, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records, inventories, and operational reports.
  • Support communication efforts including event registration, member correspondence, and promotional materials.
  • Assist with billing, merchandise tracking, and other administrative functions as assigned.
Merchandising & Inventory
  • Help maintain attractive and organized merchandise displays.
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving, tagging, and stocking merchandise.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Support merchandising initiatives and promotional displays.
  • Assist with vendor communications and special orders as needed.
Team Support
  • Serve as a reliable support resource for the professional staff and golf operations team.
  • Help train and guide seasonal and part-time golf shop staff.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on member satisfaction.
  • Assist in ensuring club standards and policies are consistently upheld.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry merchandise and supplies up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to move throughout the golf shop, clubhouse, and surrounding facilities.

The successful Pro Shop Manager will become a trusted resource for members, a dependable partner to the professional staff, and a key contributor to the overall golf experience at The Golf Club at South River. This individual will help ensure the golf shop is organized, welcoming, efficient, and reflective of the high standards our members and guests expect.

Reports To: Head Golf Professional, Matthew Hoffmann
Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Schedule: 30-40 hours per week, including weekends and club events as needed.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
