Eastern Greene High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Boys' Golf Head Coach to lead our high school boyss golf program. The head coach is responsible for organizing and overseeing all aspects of the program, including instruction, practice planning, team development, and competition strategy. The ideal candidate will serve as a positive role model for student-athletes, promote sportsmanship and character development, and support the academic and athletic success of all team members. This is a seasonal extracurricular position under the direction of the Athletic Director. Qualifications Head coaching experience preferred but not required Strong knowledge of golf rules, techniques, and strategy Ability to teach and develop athletes of all skill levels Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Commitment to the values of education-based athletics Must meet all coaching certification requirements as set by the IHSAA and Eastern Greene Schools Job Goals Develop a competitive and character-driven golf program Promote teamwork, accountability, and school spirit Instruct athletes on proper techniques, safety, and sportsmanship Provide positive leadership and mentorship to student-athletes Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and the Athletic Department Expectations Plan and conduct effective practices and match strategies Supervise student-athletes at all times during team activities Ensure proper care and inventory of all team equipment and uniforms Support student-athletes academically and promote eligibility standards Adhere to all IHSAA rules, school district policies, and athletic department guidelines Communicate effectively with players, families, and school staff Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director Additional Information If you would rather apply locally, please email documentation to: Aaron Buskirk abuskirk@egreene.k12.in.us Phone Inquiries: Aaron Buskirk, Athletic Director (812) 825-5621 ext. 2138
