About this Position
This is a seasonal position that participates in the day-to-day operation of KickingBird Golf Course and Pro Shop.
Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls, make tee time reservations, and assign golf carts
- Responsible for the proper charging of green fees, cart fees, range fees, all other golf course related fees as well as pro shop merchandise.
- Responsible for opening, closing, and balancing the cash drawer each shift
- Devote time, attention, and energy to the performance of day-to-day operations of the golf shop, to include initiate and promote activities of the golf course
- Receive merchandise and maintain merchandise displays and inventory
- Have a good understanding and enforce all golf course policies and procedures. Be familiar and comply with the City of Edmond and KickingBird Golf Policy and Procedure Manuals
- Record accurate purchase orders and information when processing custom orders for customers
- Assist with USGA GHIN Handicap score entry and maintenance
- Responsible for keeping the club house, Pro Shop, restrooms, etc., clean and organized at all times
- Responsible for accomplishing unforeseen tasks related to assigned duties
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
- Prefer golf related work experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to learn or have knowledge of golf operations
- Ability to learn or have knowledge of point of sale software, tournament software and related equipment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, be safety conscious, and present yourself in a professional manner
- Attendance at work is an essential function of the position
