Role Description
The Golf Centre Manager is responsible for running Kingsfield Golf & Leisure day-to-day — keeping the centre operating smoothly, the team performing, the customers happy, and the commercial targets on track.
You'll be the the first point of escalation, and the person who sets the tone. The role is hands-on: you'll be on the floor, in front of members, at reception covering the team, and inside the systems that keep the place moving.

- A 9-hole course and 18-hole putting green
- A 20-bay Trackman driving range
- A TaylorMade fitting centre
- A short game area and two dedicated teaching bays
- A team of five teaching professionals
- The Stephen Gallacher Performance Centre — our indoor simulator and games venue
- The Tee Caddy coffee shop and flexible conference facilities
- Kingsfield Barn — our growing wedding and events venue
Role Description
The Golf Centre Manager is responsible for running Kingsfield Golf & Leisure day-to-day — keeping the centre operating smoothly, the team performing, the customers happy, and the commercial targets on track.
You'll be the the first point of escalation, and the person who sets the tone. The role is hands-on: you'll be on the floor, in front of members, at reception covering the team, and inside the systems that keep the place moving.
You'll own the day-to-day:
- Centre operations across the driving range, course, simulator, retail, F&B and conference space
- Staff rotas across our 7-day operation, including weekend cover
- Health, safety and compliance across the whole site
- Stock, suppliers, opening and closing procedures
- The booking system, EPOS, member database and reporting
- Membership growth — we're building toward our 500-member target
- Facility utilisation across the bays, course and putting green
- Corporate days and event revenue
- Operating budget management and monthly reporting
- Plan and deliver on-site events — corporate days, member competitions, social nights, ladies' golf, junior coaching weeks
- Manage member communications, feedback and escalations
- Run the day-to-day social media presence and work with the marketing team on local campaigns
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience working with the public in a customer-facing, leadership-level role
- Confident with business systems and software — booking platforms, EPOS, CRM- Hubspot, Microsoft Office
- Hands-on experience managing social media for a business
- Event planning and delivery experience, with a track record of delivering events on time and on budget
- A working understanding of operational health and safety, and willingness to take formal site responsibility
- Strong communication and people-management skills
- Commercially aware — comfortable working to targets and reporting on performance
- Available to work at the weekends as agreed.
- Golf knowledge and experience — playing, coaching, or working in a golf environment
- Practical familiarity with golf operations, rules and etiquette
- First aid certificate (we'll fund training for the right person if not already held)
- Supervisory or team leadership qualifications
- IOSH, NEBOSH, or sports management qualifications
- Experience with PGA, Scottish Golf or similar industry systems
- Background in hospitality, leisure or membership-based businesses
