Position Summary

The Golf Car Rental Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests by efficiently handling rental requests, preparing golf cars for customer use, and ensuring that all vehicles are clean, safe, and in proper working condition. This role requires a professional attitude, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, motivated personality to ensure a smooth rental operation and a positive guest experience.

Essential Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Service

· Greet and assist customers with rental inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.

· Provide clear explanations of rental terms, golf car operation, and safety reminders.

· Ensure rental agreements are fully completed with accurate documentation and signatures.

· Deliver excellent customer service throughout the rental process, ensuring a positive and efficient experience.

Golf Car Preparation & Maintenance

· Perform basic maintenance checks including golf car battery cleaning, checking oil levels, checking tire pressures, inspecting lights, cleaning the car, lubricating the suspension, performance checks (brakes, alignment, & other) to ensure readiness for customer use.

· Re-fueling of the units during rentals and after returns (up to 45lbs).

· Perform & assist with basic repairs or replacements such as using a jack to lift the car, replacing rear view mirrors, windshields, adjusting bolts, repairing and filling flat tires, replacing wheel/tire assembly lbs.), or other components as necessary.

· Wash golf cars and suspension components including internal parts of front wheels.

· Dry, detail & lubricate golf cars before and after each rental to maintain a clean and professional fleet appearance.

· Conduct inspection of each car with the customer upon return, noting and reporting any damages or performance issues.

Operational & Administrative Tasks

· Process rental transactions accurately, handling cash or POS payments responsibly.

· Maintain organized and accurate rental records.

· Track and report inventory levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies.

· Ensure the greeting area, rental area, storage, and wash station remain clean, organized, and safe at all times.

· Accurately log service activities, unit conditions, rental data using Excel, Word, or company software and other reports as needed.

· Utilize proper phone etiquette when communicating with customers, vendors, and team members. Communicate consistently with the team leader to ensure transparency of operational processes, special requests or recommendations that could contribute to the overall performance of the business.

· Promote our products and services (may include upgrades, accessories, or add-ons) to enhance customer experience. Assist with promotional activities such as flyer handouts, working closely with the hotel front desk, connecting with rental properties within the community, etc.

· Promptly communicate maintenance or safety concerns to the Team Leader or Owner

Physical and Environmental

Because Carts4You operates a continuous golf car rental and maintenance service, the Golf Car Rental Operations Attendant is required to participate in physical operational tasks as needed to ensure uninterrupted service and customer safety. Therefore, this position requires regular physical activity as an essential function of the job. The Golf Car Rental Operations Leader must be able to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, bending, lifting, and handling golf cars or related equipment as part of daily operational needs.

o Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to push, pull, or move golf cars as needed to maintain fleet operations.

o Ability to perform manual tasks such as washing, inspecting, charging, refueling, or repositioning golf cars.

o Regular exposure to outdoor environmental conditions (heat, rain, humidity) typical of Palmas del Mar operations.

o Ability to remain on feet, walk the premises and go up & down stairs for extended periods during shift hours.
