This position requires experience in managing employees, experience with GI/LPG products, and experience working on multiple concurrent projects. Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage GI/LPG operations, inventory, logistics, and personnel at your facility
- Manage and oversee use of historical data and sales trends to determine proper inventory levels and decision making of "emergency orders" versus "stock orders"
- Leadership and supervision of the internal GI/LPG group, engaging with our entire GI/LPG team to focus on efficiency, and respond with a balanced approach to the needs of all customers in the GI/LPG group
- Input orders into the ERP for our GI/LPG finished goods as well as parts
- Assist in development and adaptation of processes and procedures, as well as adapting to changes in business, products, and systems
- Manage and coordinate delivery of GI/LPG group customers and team members orders via our internal delivery personnel and vehicles, and outsourced delivery services- working with other business groups where possible
- Lead or GI/LPG team towards exceptional customer service through education, coaching, and process implementation
- Work with GI bidding and estimating group on large projects to order (and return), warehouse manage, stage, and delivery (or return) of projects
- Act as the key point of contact for GI/LPG inventory as part of the year-end physical inventory, physical presence is required
- Help with loading, offloading, and securing loads on delivery vehicles
- Must be able to learn to read and interpret irrigation and light plans and specifications
- Must be able to learn to diagnose and troubleshoot basic irrigation and lighting issues
- Participate in weekly cycle counts, and quarterly sheet to shelf and daily cycle count processes
- Help with other miscellaneous duties that may arise in a branch setting
- Valid driver's license is required
- Experience with customer service and/or physical asset management is required
- Two years of relevant business experience is required
- Three years of managing direct reports is required
- Forklift certification is required and/or must be obtained within 6 months of hire date
- Turf industry experience is preferred
- Golf irrigation products and their application experience is preferred
- National and local Irrigation Associate Certifications are preferred
- English speaking with bilingual Spanish is preferred
- Experience with customer service and customer communication
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Products
- Mobile phones, laptop computers, and tablets
- Experience with customer service and customer communication
- Ability to load, secure, deliver, and unload products in a safe and timely manner
- Ability to lift 75lbs.
- Ability to use a pallet jack and forklift
- Strong time management, organizational, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Willing to learn about the products that Turf Equipment and Supply Company sells and represents
- Working closely with others and at times working alone
- An organized workspace that must be maintained by all employees
- Working with oil, grease, fuels, cleaning agents, batteries, aerosol chemicals in a safe responsible manner
- Working with ladders, pallet jacks, forklifts, trucks, trailers, and unloading/loading pallets and pipe
- Working inside in a smoke free environment.
