As a member of the Food and Beverage team, you will be the welcoming face of our club's hospitality operations, creating memorable experiences through professional service, product knowledge, and genuine hospitality. This position is integral to maintaining the high standards Melville Glades Golf Club is known for and directly contributes to the overall satisfaction and loyalty of our membership.
What you'll be doing
Serving beverages and food items to members and guests in a prompt, efficient and friendly manner
Taking orders and processing payments accurately using point-of-sale systems
Maintaining knowledge of our beverage menu, including beers, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic options, and making recommendations to customers
Serving food in a prompt and hygienic manner to members in the restaurant
Ensuring the bar and restaurant areas are clean, well-stocked and organized at all times
Restocking supplies, glasses and bar equipment as needed during shifts
Creating a welcoming atmosphere and engaging with members on a day-to-day basis
Setting up and serving during club and private event days
Adhering to Responsible Service of Alcohol and food safety guidelines
What we're looking for
Previous experience working in a bar, hospitality or customer service environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people
Bubbly personality and a positive can-do attitude
Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol practices and liquor licensing requirements
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions and stock
A professional appearance and courteous demeanor
Flexibility to work casual shifts, including weekends and evenings as required
A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
Current valid driver's license preferred
