We are a popular country golf club in the heart of the Waikato. Only 25 minutes from Hamilton. Morrinsville is a growing town which is expanding rapidly with new sub-divisions on our boundary. Core Responsibilities of this position. 1. Starter / Outside Operations (The "Golf" Part) • Tee Time Management: Managing the tee sheet, checking in players, and directing them to the first tee at scheduled times. • Pace of Play Monitoring: Ensuring groups start on time and monitoring flow to prevent, identify, and address slow play. • Player Relations: Greeting members and guests, explaining course rules, and managing cart rentals. • Outside Services Assistance: Occasionally, this role may assist with staging golf carts, cleaning carts, and maintaining the driving range. 2. Bar / Hospitality Assistant (The "Bar" Part) • Beverage & Food Service: Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and serving food in the clubhouse or sprig bar. • Bar Maintenance: Keeping the bar area, tables, sprig bar and clubhouse clean and organized. • Stocking & Inventory: Stocking beer, wine, spirits, and snacks, as well as maintaining inventory levels. • POS Operation: Using POS systems to process transactions for green fees, rentals, and bar purchases. Key Requirements & Qualifications • Customer Service Excellence: A friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanour is essential for interacting with members and guests. • Licensing: Duty Manager Certificate) not essential to hold one but the willingness to complete the necessary process to obtain one. • Golf Knowledge: Understanding basic golf rules, etiquette, and terminology. • Physical Stamina • Self-motivated • A team player • An excellent communicator with strong work ethic and a positive attitude • Able to work full flexible hours including weekends • Eligible to work in New Zealand What's in it for you: • On-going training • A great team to work along side • Great renumeration package • 3-day work week • Paid for every break This is a full-time role with guaranteed days and hours of work.
