Course Presentation & Detail Support

Reports to: Golf Course Superintendent
Works closely with: Assistant Superintendents, Grounds Crew, Golf Operations Team

The Club’s golf course is one of the most visible ways members experience Idle Hour, and maintaining its presentation and playability requires daily attention to detail.
While large maintenance tasks happen early in the day, the finishing touches throughout the afternoon and weekend periods play an important role in preserving course conditions and ensuring a great experience for members.
This position supports the Grounds team by focusing on those finishing details that help the course remain clean, consistent, and ready for play throughout the day.
Position Overview —
The Golf Course Detail Attendant supports course presentation through hands-on detail work across the golf course, helping maintain the standards expected at a premier private club.
This role focuses on visible course care and playability, including divot repair, bunker maintenance, weed removal, and other detail-oriented tasks that keep the golf course looking its best.
The position is well suited for individuals who enjoy being outdoors, staying active, and taking pride in maintaining a beautiful property.

Core Responsibilities —
Course Presentation & Detail Work
Repair divots on fairways and tee boxes
Rake and maintain bunkers to support consistent playing conditions
Remove weeds and perform light turf detail work throughout the course
Pick up debris and maintain overall course cleanliness
Assist with course setup support as directed by the Grounds team
Course Monitoring & Awareness
Walk the golf course to identify areas needing attention
Report maintenance observations to the Grounds team when needed
Support consistent course conditions during peak play periods
Operational Support
Assist with small projects and detail tasks assigned by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendents
Support overall course presentation during busy play periods
Help maintain a professional and welcoming golf environment for members and guests
Success Profile —
The ideal candidate is:
Someone who enjoys working outdoors and staying active
Detail-oriented and takes pride in maintaining a high-quality property
Reliable and able to work independently
Comfortable walking long distances and performing physical work outdoors
Interested in supporting a team environment focused on presentation and consistency
This position can be a great fit for retired or semi-retired individuals, including retired police officers, firefighters, or military veterans, who enjoy being outside and staying engaged in an active environment.
Qualifications —
Ability to perform physical outdoor work including walking the golf course for extended periods
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
Dependable and able to follow direction from the Grounds leadership team
Previous golf course or outdoor maintenance experience is helpful but not required
Ability to work afternoons and weekends during the golf season
