Job Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Golf Shop Attendant, where you will be the friendly face and efficient operator at our bustling golf shop. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine retail expertise with outdoor hospitality, ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. You will manage sales transactions, assist golfers with equipment and merchandise, and uphold safety and service standards in a dynamic outdoor environment. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for players of all ages and skill levels.

Duties
  • Greet guests warmly, providing exceptional customer service and guiding them through available products and services
  • Process cash, credit card, and POS (Point of Sale) transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of merchandise and retail displays
  • Assist with equipment rentals, sales, and inventory management to ensure availability and proper stock levels
  • Support event management activities such as tournaments or group outings by coordinating logistics and guest needs
  • Enforce safety protocols including manual handling procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and outdoor safety measures
  • Handle guest inquiries, resolve conflicts diplomatically, and provide information about golf course amenities or upcoming events
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in retail sales or customer service environments, preferably within hospitality or outdoor recreation settings
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for transaction processing
  • Experience working with children or managing group activities is a plus
  • Knowledge of event venue operations or experience in event management is advantageous
  • Certifications such as First Aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and safety protocol training are highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills for public speaking, guest interactions, and teamwork coordination
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely in an outdoor setting
  • Previous outdoor work experience or resort environment familiarity enhances your suitability for this role
