As a Golf Shop Attendant, you’ll welcome guests, support daily shop operations, and help golfers enjoy a smooth, memorable visit. You’ll assist with retail sales, answer questions, process purchases, and coordinate with the wider team to keep the shop and guest areas organized and safe. This role may also support events and outdoor activities.
Duties
- Provide friendly customer service and guest services, recommend golf merchandise, and support retail sales.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, process cash transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling using basic math.
- Assist with event management, event setup, and guest communication; use public speaking skills when addressing groups.
- Follow safety protocols, support first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) response as trained, and help manage guest concerns or conflicts.
- Perform outdoor work, manual handling, and occasional heavy lifting; support related food service or venue needs as assigned.
Qualifications
- Customer service, hospitality, retail sales, cash handling, and POS experience are useful; resort, event venue, theater, or food service experience is a plus.
- First aid and CPR knowledge are valued. Lifeguard experience is also helpful.
- Experience working with children, managing conflicts, or speaking to groups is beneficial.
- Able to follow safety protocols and handle outdoor work, manual tasks, and occasional heavy lifting.
- Basic math skills and clear communication are important for supporting guests and shop operations.
