Silver Springs Golf & Country Club is a member-owned, private facility in Calgary, Alberta. The Club aspires to provide the best possible member and guest experience, both on and off the golf course. Silver Springs is ideally situated on an expansive, 300-acre property in north-west Calgary, only minutes from the downtown core. Silver Springs is a tree lined par 72 golf course that winds through coulees and plateaus with 5 sets of tees ranging from 4500 to 7000 yards. Our location makes it convenient for our members to participate in golf and social experiences and feel a true sense of belonging. We will continue to drive culture of exceptional service, outstanding golf course conditions, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Job Summary
The Club is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual who is high energy and high efficiency, who currently attains the next level of customer service and desire to help us grow our vision of operational excellence. A large focus will be understanding our club, being hands on with all leagues with a primary focus on assisting our Lead Associate with merchandising and retail sales. As well as being support for all other professional staff and their daily duties. The candidate will possess good time management, having the ability to balance the heavy demands of the club and personal life. Strong business skills, leadership skills and organization are at a premium to be a team member of the Silver Springs staff.
Key Attributes:
· Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment.
· Assist customers in selecting golf equipment, apparel, and accessories, offering product knowledge and recommendations.
· Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
· Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the golf shop, ensuring shelves and displays are well-stocked and organized.
· Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and tracking inventory levels.
· Schedule tee times, answer phone inquiries, and assist with general golf course operations as needed.
· Promote and upsell golf-related products, membership packages, and special offers.
· Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
· Assist with any events or tournaments hosted by the golf course, including managing merchandise sales and customer interactions.
· Enter data in an accurate and timely manner when booking tee times, registering for tournaments and leagues or creating signage.
Qualifications
· Prior retail or customer service experience, preferably in a golf-related environment.
· Basic knowledge of golf equipment and apparel (knowledge of golf is a plus).
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Friendly, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor.
· Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
