Golf Pro Shop Attendant Briarwood Golf Club – Broadview Heights, OH Pay: $14.00–$17.00 per hour + tips Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Briarwood Golf Club is looking for a dependable, personable and motivated Golf Pro Shop Attendant to join our team. We are open to either a full-time or part-time employee depending on the right candidate and their availability. If you enjoy golf, working with people and would rather spend your workday at a golf course than behind a desk, this is a great opportunity. Our Pro Shop staff is at the center of the day-to-day operation of the golf course, helping golfers from the moment they arrive while keeping the tee sheet, shop and overall operation running smoothly. Our Pro Shop staff also assists with our bar operation throughout the day. While working the Pro Shop counter, employees may need to step over to the bar to serve a customer before returning to their normal Pro Shop responsibilities. Applicants must therefore be at least 21 years old. Employees have the opportunity to earn additional money through tips from bar customers. What You’ll Do * Greet golfers and provide friendly, professional customer service. * Check golfers in and collect payment for green fees, carts, merchandise, food and beverages. * Operate our Point of Sale system accurately and responsibly. * Answer phone calls, book tee times and assist customers with questions about the course. * Manage and monitor the daily tee sheet. * Serve customers at the bar as needed while working in the Pro Shop, including preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. * Handle both Pro Shop and bar transactions throughout the day. * Communicate with cart staff and other golf course employees to keep daily operations running smoothly. * Assist with golf outings, leagues, tournaments and special events. * Sell and restock golf merchandise, beverages and other Pro Shop inventory. * Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming Pro Shop and bar area. * Complete opening and closing responsibilities when scheduled. * Perform other golf-operation duties as needed. What We’re Looking For * Must be at least 21 years old. * Dependable, punctual and able to work independently when needed. * Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers throughout the day. * Comfortable handling cash, credit-card transactions and basic computer/POS systems. * Comfortable serving customers at the bar as part of normal Pro Shop responsibilities. * Able to multitask between golfers checking in, phone calls, tee times and bar customers. * Able to stay organized and composed during busy periods. * Willing to work a flexible golf-course schedule, including some mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. * General knowledge of golf is strongly preferred, but we are willing to work with the right person who is interested in learning the golf business. * Previous customer service, retail, restaurant, bartending or golf-course experience is a plus.
