- Operate the POS system for green fee sales, merchandise, and equipment rentals.
- Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and reconcile cash register at the end of the shift.
- Maintain an organized and clean cash register area.
- Stock, organize, and display golf merchandise in an appealing manner.
- Assist customers in selecting golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
- Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels, placing orders as necessary.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with pricing updates.
- Schedule and manage tee times efficiently.
- Ensure that tee times align with course availability and club policies.
- Handle changes, cancellations, and walk-in golfers as needed.
- Assist with golf course operations, including coordinating with the grounds crew and starter to ensure a smooth flow of play.
- Help organize and execute golf tournaments and events.
- Maintain accurate records of daily play and tournament results.
- Ensure that the golf shop is clean and organized at all times.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for customers and employees.
- Coordinate the rental of golf clubs, carts, and other equipment.
- Ensure equipment is clean, in good condition, and available for rent.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a golf or country club setting.
- Knowledge of golf and golf equipment is a plus but not necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
