• Create a welcoming and hospitable environment by warmly greeting and assisting guests, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and courtesy.
• Register guests for golf, accurately recording play records and tee times to ensure a smooth and organized flow of golfers.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system proficiently, handling transactions with precision and efficiency. Maintain a well-supplied and properly functioning POS system, including necessary supplies for smooth operations.
• Answer telephone calls promptly, utilizing proper greetings and following departmental policies and procedures. Accurately record tee time requests on the tee sheet or take detailed messages for unavailable staff members.
• Maintain clear and effective radio communication, adhering to proper radio procedures and etiquette to facilitate smooth coordination between the golf shop and other staff members.
• Ensure the golf shop is clean, tidy, and visually appealing at all times. Arrange merchandise in an organized and attractive manner, ensuring shelves and displays are well-stocked and visually appealing. Maintain an adequate supply of operating materials, such as POS supplies, scorecards, and pencils.
• Provide exceptional standards of quality and customer service to guests, anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations to create a memorable experience.
• Enforce dress code and beverage policies courteously, diplomatically addressing any non-compliance to avoid conflicts. If necessary, consult with the Staff Professional or Director of Golf for guidance in handling exceptional situations.
• Assist the Retail Coordinator in arranging and displaying merchandise effectively, actively participating in promoting sales, and showcasing featured items to enhance guest engagement and satisfaction.
• Foster a positive work climate by actively contributing to the overall team effort by collaborating with fellow staff members, demonstrating teamwork, and a willingness to support one another to achieve shared goals.
