A Starter role at a golf facility responsible for managing tee-off operations, verifying player entry, issuing scorecards, and ensuring compliance with course policies and etiquette.
Key responsibilities
Collect Starter's copy from golfers, verify entry and issue scorecard/pencil to players
Tee-off players from starting tee-boxes as per SOP
Ensure Caddy's attire and equipment are in order prior to entering course
Record golfer's particulars tee-off/crossover time on Starter sheet
Ensure all tee-offs/crossover are as per registered tee-time and from correct tee-box/course
Report all incidents to Supervisor immediately and ensure Incident Report is duly filled and submitted to Golf office
Ensure golfers' attire complies with approved dress code and course Etiquette and Club policies
Ensure daily golf bag operations run smoothly
Assist in golf tournament operations
Control movement of flights/buggies from Buggy Park to starting Tee-box 10 minutes before registered tee-time on weekends/tournaments
Shift work schedules
Flexibility to work during Public Holiday and anytime required by operations
Good communication and interpersonal skills
